UNITED24 PRESIDENTIAL INITIATIVE
On 5 May 2022, United24 was launched as an initiative by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the main venue for collecting charitable donations in support of Ukraine. Funds will be transferred to the official accounts of the National Bank of Ukraine and allocated by assigned ministries to cover the most pressing needs. To learn more please go here.

Ukraine withdrew from the Soviet Union on 24 August 1991. The Ukrainian parliament adopted the Act of Independence on 24 August 1991. The first Україна presidential elections took place on 1 December 1991 with more than 92% of the voters approving.
Ukraine is a country in Eastern Europe. It is the second largest by area in Europe after Russia, which it borders to the east and north-east. Ukraine also shares borders with Belarus to the north; Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary to the west; Romania and Moldova to the south; and has a coastline along the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
Ukraine spans an area of 603,628 km2 (233,062 sq mi). With a population of 43 million, Ukraine is the eighth-most populous country in Europe. The nation’s capital and largest city is Kyiv.
The territory of modern Ukraine has been inhabited for thousands of years. During the Middle Ages, the area was a key centre of East Slavic culture under the Kyivan Rus’.
Ukraine’s extensive fertile land, Ukraine is one of the largest grain exporters in the world. It is a member of the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the OSCE, the GUAM organization, the Association Trio, and the Lublin Triangle.
On 24 February 2022, a devastating “special military operation” as described by Russia and called an “invasion” or “war” by others, began in Ukraine when it was attacked. The level of destruction caused by this “war”, is unseen since World War II.
As of April 2022, this “war” has resulted in the total destruction of nationwide infrastructure and the loss of life of men, women, children and the elderly in Ukraine.

This report from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, who issues a regular report based on their findings, is not a complete report due to the nature of the conflict.
Its been reported that million of Ukrainian citizens have been evacuated from Ukraine (millions stranded in-country) and taken in by other countries including the United States.
Many other countries have provided ongoing support for Ukraine. With millions of Ukrainians displaced, there is a serious need to join the millions of people around the world who have shown support for Ukraine. Support Ukraine, today.
Many other countries have provided safe-haven to Ukrainians including the United Kingdom, United States, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Poland, Moldova, Lithuania, Germany, Finland, France, Hungary, Norway, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and many more.

Some areas have been completely destroyed and leveled, including entire cities, office buildings, homes, malls, trucks, roads, shopping centers, medical centers, buses, hospitals, trains, residential buildings, warehouses, apartments, food stores, schools, churches, bridges, cars, vehicles, theaters, libraries, media centers, and displaced millions of citizens, and caused the deaths of tens of thousands of residents, destruction of monuments, Ukrainian cities, towns, rural communities, national treasures, and much more since the conflict began on Februsry 24, 2022.
